1st Week in College

Our classes started last May 25 (bec. we are following the trimestral system)

My 1st week in college was so far good. I met a lot of people. My blockmates and I can really get along. We already had a block lunch. aww! I can see lots of former schoolmates (they say nga that DLSU is the extension of CSA) and it so happened that I have a blockmate who's from CSA-Makati as well. I haven't met her before because she's a year ahead of my batch and she moved out of the country after her 2nd year.

My professors are nice, but I hate them for giving us reading homeworks (a total of 53 pages in KASPIL!- in deep Tagalog) I have long breaks and most of the time I'm with Guia( the former Augustinian) and we're just eating or using the internet.

LPEP or the Lasallian Personal Effectiveness Program is a 2-day orientation for the incoming frosh that gave us a glimpse of the Lasallian culture.

I had my LPEP last May 13 & 14 together with the rest of the CLA students. I was quite nervous at first because I'm the only Augustinian in my block.

During the 1st day, we had the theater program, getting to know activity, a lesson about the life of St. La Salle and the campus tour. On the 2nd day, we had a mass, session on academic concerns & student discipline, campus tour again, visited the different org. booths, and the ANIMO building.

We were actually given free food for 2 days. We ate chicken during lunch and it's- hmm.

LR17 will be my block until the 2nd term. I think we are 38 in the block with only 9 boys. Most of my blockmates are a year or 2 younger than me. I feel so old! :))

Sam's Despedida

Sam is leaving Manila for Ottawa, Canada before May 22, 2009.

As usual, we had the traditional despedida for our friends leaving the country. Just like Andz' despedida, we had it at Marcella's place once again. We had the usual barbecue dinner, night swimming, drinking till they get drunk, and sleepover.

This get-together served as a reunion as well because we will be going to different universities next school year and Marce, Reanne & I will have classes beginning May 25 while the rest will have it on either June 8 or June 15.

I'll surely miss the barkada because we've been together since 1st year high school and we made an agreement that we'll still see each other at least once a week or if the schedule can't really permit us, then at least once a month.
